Family owned and operated, Basse’s Taste of Country has roots in Muskego, WI where owners Becky and Roger Basse ran a similar business for five years. After working there for another seven years, the Basse’s decided to branch out and started the Taste of Country store in September of 2000. The Basse’s extend their love of family to their business. Basse’s offers family-orientated, fun and educational activities all year long. Basse’s also features a Country Store with a huge selection of jellies, jams, honey, salsa, chips, novelty items and crafts as well! Brehmer’s U-pick Strawberries is a family owned operation. They take pride in growing our produce on 25 acres of land in Washington county. The property also features a free maze and scenic areas that make a fantastic background for taking pictures – no charge to capture your photographic memories! Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily, unless the patch gets picked through. It would be best to call ahead. Prices for the 2013 picking season are u-pick $1.60 per pound. The facility is handicap accessible.
The Fideler Farm was established in 1979 and has been a family owned operation ever since. They take pride in growing products on 70 acres of land in Southeast Wisconsin. They produce several varieties of strawberries, summer and fall raspberries, asparagus, and a variety of vegetables. They also carry a multitude of homemade jams, jellies, and pickled goods. Nehm’s Greenhouse and Floral is a family owned and operated business that originated in the 1970’s when Bob and Audrey Nehm raised their own vegetable plants for their garden in a makeshift hot bed on the side of a shed. Their friends and neighbors started buying the quality seedlings and slowly business started to grow. Fresh asparagus begins the year during May and early June and then by mid June the strawberry crop begins. Family owned and operated, Witte’s Vegetable Market, LLC features homegrown produce with pre-picked strawberries starting in mid-June and vegetables available July through the end of October. Strawberries are now available! Call 262-338-4589 to place an order. Come visit! They would love to see you! The stand will be open 7 days a week starting July 1!
