In conjunction with Aquaculture Day, sponsored by the Wisconsin Aquaculture Association, PortFish, Ltd invites you to join us for our Open House on Sunday, July 20th, 2014! Tour our Port Washington Aquaponics facility to learn about aquaponics and sustainable food, ask questions, and have a look at our progress!
Sunday, July 20th 2014
12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
PortFish, Ltd Aquaponics
3781 County Road KW
What is nitrification? What do you feed the fish? How do you control the heat in the greenhouse in the summer? Find out the answers to these questions and more during the tour!
You will see lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, herbs, kale and Swiss chard growing in nutrient-rich water. Our Model 3 aquaponics facility greenhouse runs year round and PortFish has been working hard on developing this system – we think you will be impressed when you see the future of raising food.
Come and see the future of sustainable agriculture!
The open house is July 21 from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM and we are located at 3781 County Road KW in Knellsville, Wisconsin. We are on the north side of the old Port Washington Feed Mill, just north of the intersection of County Road H (to Fredonia) and County Road KW (to Belgium).
The event is FREE and open to the public. Tours will take 15 minutes. See you there!
