6th Annual Sustainability Fair – Saturday, May 18th, 2013

economicshappinessTransition Ozaukee and PortFish, Ltd will sponsor the 6th Annual Sustainability Fair on Saturday, May 18th from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the First Congregational Church at 131 N. Webster St. in Port Washington – same great place where the Winter-Spring Farmers’ Market happens!

The theme of this year’s Fair will be “The Economics of Happiness” – focusing on the need to establish and support a strong local economy. The Economics of Happiness, a documentary film by the International Society for Ecology & Culture (ISEC) about the worldwide movement for economic localization, will be screened at the fair. The documentary describes a world moving simultaneously in two opposing directions: government and Big Business continue to promote globalization and the consolidation of corporate power, while communities are coming together to re‐build more human scale, ecological economies based on a new paradigm ‐ an economics of localization. The film is sponsored by Renew Port Holdings.
